It's the start of a new semester, and it is already super busy. So many assignments to do. One of my classes, called presentation graphics, is a fun class where I get to learn how to color and draw using proper techniques. I feel like this class was a great way to help me learn proper techniques for drawing and helps train me to think in 3d. Some of my other classes are too much, but it feels rewarding to complete them all by Friday so that I can relax on the weekend.
I was able to make a new friend, who is my roommate and just about the same age. Our first interaction was on a Sunday, where we talked, and it was also his first semester, so I just showed him the way around campus and invited him to come to church with me so that he could feel welcomed. We have similar interests, and we play video games or watch TV at times. It's nice having someone the same age because we share the same common interests. He is also into Asian culture, especially Japan, and at times, I teach him how to properly cook rice or just share some tips on ingredients. His name is Patrick, and he is very intelligent. He's into building stuff like 3d modeling and tech stuff. When I talk to him, I feel like he is on another level because he's using so many terms, and it's fascinating seeing how the minds of smart people work. I feel like we get along pretty well, and I feel proud that I was able to make a friend without feeling weird, haha.
So far its been a stressful/interesting semester because it is starting to get warm, and hopefully can go through it at my own pace.
Hope you guys are doing well!
Sincerely,
Zach Sy
